False Proclaimers Want to Corrupt the Genuine Church!

Jude 1:4, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Those who claim to be Christians, but promote anti-Bible beliefs and values, cannot be trusted to represent the local church or the Kingdom in the church or the public square. They are deceiving and subverting believers and unbelievers alike, so the church will look like the world rather than the body of Christ.

Would you trust someone who said they’re on your side, but then spit in your face? That’s what churches are doing to the Bible when they claim to believe it, but then they advocate for sin rather than holiness. The old story about the fox and the snake should be a warning. The fox was lulled into a false sense of security and the snake bit him at the expense of his own life. The Bible tells us the Anti-Christ (who knows God will defeat him) will make a treaty with Israel during the Tribulation and then break it so he can try to destroy them.

1 Peter 5:8-9, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”

Believers, be discerning and wise, do not join ranks with religious, social, and political groups that espouse false doctrine and unbiblical agendas. Seek to live and promote the Kingdom agenda. It may not be culturally, educationally, socially, or politically correct, but it will always be right with God.

Termites Eat the Good Wood.

Why would someone join a group/organization which holds beliefs and practices they disagree with? Either they think the group/organization is insincere about those beliefs and practices or they want to destroy the group/organization from within.

Those who embrace unholiness in the name of love undermine the sovereignty of God. It is like inviting termites into a house. Over time everything that supports the house will be come weak and crumble until the house ultimately falls.

Believers are to reflect God’s holiness in this wicked world. God will save and sanctify those who respond in faith to His Gospel message.

Having a form of godliness but denying the authority thereof is like building a house over a terminate mound. The same is true about celebrating sinful behavior and teaching false doctrine in a church. Eventually people will fall spiritually but God is able to repair their lives and those churches that have fallen prey to these spiritual termites. Repent of the sin and return to Him.

He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

Believer Must Hold the Kingdom the Line.

As I observe the headlines for the past several weeks, I cringe. I cringe because I realize that this world and this country are circling the drain of total moral and spiritual collapse.

I cringe and yet I pray. I pray that believers will take our responsibility to Christ seriously; that we will live and declare the truth of Scripture. I pray we will realize this: though this world is reaping a whirl wind of corruption believers can still show seeds of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Believers can continue to sow in the hope that others may turn to Christ and will be saved.

I pray and yet I rejoice because I realize that Christ will not be undermined in His divine plan. I rejoice that all believers are eternally secure because of His Grace, His Sacrifice, His Blood, and His Spirit.

Believers – Churches, Christ stands at the door and knocks.
I beseech you, by the mercies of God that you remember, repent, return, and reaffirm the truth of the Gospel before Christ puts out your candle.

Making Your Thoughts Count!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things., Phl 4:8

Believers must learn to stop admiring sinners and the sin they practice. We should be observing, modeling, and promoting faithfulness.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.,
1 John 2:15

Don’t be Led Astray

Be careful not to be led away from a biblical worldview because you admire someone’s ability, personality, or talent.
Celebrities or influential and popular people who oppose God will use their status to undermine Scripture, faith in Christ, and walking in the Spirit.

To Defend against these deceitful distracting devices of the enemies of God:

Study and practice God’s Word,
Test things by Scripture and prayer,
Seek counsel from discerning and wise believers.

HERE IS ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE THE SCRIPTURE.

“But to do good (acts of benevolence and kindness) and to communicate (giving assistance like food, money, etc) forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” Heb 13:16

Believers and churches, when crises come, remember to pray for and give to those we know.

“I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

“What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” James 2:14-17

Discern or Burn!

Wisdom recognizes an opportunity when it sees one. Discernment understands when to pursue or decline an opportunity based on God’s leading.

Trust & Obey In Spite of ___________!

Believers: The moment you give a higher priority to your ego, emotion, or experience over Biblical faith and obedience you’ve just removed God from the throne of your life and sat down in his place. In order to experience the peace and assurance God gives we have to remain plugged into him, his authority, and his direction. It may not make sense and it might cause discomfort, but the Lord knows what he’s doing, and he’s going to work out for your good in the end

Moved by Love.

The believer’s faith should be motivated by love. A personality driven by cynicism and skepticism is motivated by doubt and fear.

Consider Psalm 1, Proverbs 3:5-6, and 1 Corinthians 13.

God’s Plan for His Church is Perfect!

The local church congregation is God’s institution for discipleship and development of believers. To abandon it is to reject God‘s plan for His people. To conform it to the standards of self-will or worldly patterns is to defy the Divine intention of the Savior.

There are some who’ve been seduced by spiritual arrogance, greed, and pride; they cannot see the beauty contained within the Body of Christ.

Instead of trying to improve God’s plan for the church or trying to mold it into what pleases yourself, try following Christ, His Word, and The Holy Spirit.
